What’s better than making an entire street block your party venue? On Saturday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m., witches, ghostbusters, pirates and princesses will be out and about in Glens Falls for Boo 2 You. The annual Halloween block party put on by the Glens Falls Collaborative takes place downtown on Glen Street, between the Civil War Monument and Centennial Circle. Trick-or-treat down candy lane, see spooky dance performances, walk in the costume parade and then head to the after party at Wood Theater for a screening of the classic holiday film, Hocus Pocus.
“Boo 2 You is great for anyone to attend if they like Halloween, or downtown Glens Falls, or genuine, friendly hospitality,” says Rich Cirino, president of Glens Falls Collaborative. Dozens of storefronts and organizations will be giving out treats or offering children’s games and activities, with ponies to ride and local dance studios putting on Halloween-themed performances.
Best of all? It’s free of charge.
