Broadway Classic 'She Loves Me' Debuts at Capital Repertory Theatre

Albany's Capital Repertory Theatre is staging Broadway classic She Loves Me, a six-time Tony Award nominee. The show, with book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock, debuts between Nov. 24–Dec. 24.

Artistic Director Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill will be producing the musical, which is based on the same-named 1937 play by Hungarian writer Miklos Laszlo. His work has also been adapted for the silver screen; 1940's The Shop Around the Corner, 1949's In the Good Old Summertime and 1998's Tom Hanks movie You’ve Got Mail all bear the mark of Laszlo.

The show stars Broadway actor Michael McCorry Rose, who audiences will remember from 2015's staging of Sherry Kramer’s How Water Behaves.

Previews for She Loves Me take place from Nov. 24–26. Opening night is Tuesday, Nov. 28. Regular performances continue through Sunday, Dec. 24. Performance times: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; and 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday—with matinees 3 p.m. Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday; and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Tickets range from $25–$65. Students with valid IDs can purchase tickets for $16 at all shows. To buy tickets and for more information, call Tickets by Proctors at 518.445.SHOW (7469) or visit capitalrep.org.
