The Schenectady engagement of the 2015 Tony Award Best Musical will perform on the Proctors stage Oct. 31 through Nov. 5. Recognized as the first show written exclusively by women to win theater’s highest achievement, FUN HOME is based on Alison Bechdel’s best-selling graphic memoir about unraveling the mysteries of her childhood and seeing her parents through grown-up eyes.
The show’s main characters will be played by Robert Petkoff of Broadway’s Ragtime, All The Way and Anything Goes; Susan Moniz of Broadway’s Grease, Chicago’s Marriott Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theater; and Kate Shindle, of Broadway’s Legally Blonde and Cabaret. Music for the show is by Jeanine Tesori, book and lyrics are by Lisa Kron, and direction will be by Sam Gold.
