Swing to Americana sounds

It’s a high-energy marriage of hip hop and jazz when Caffe Lena and SPAC team up to present musical evenings you won’t want to miss.

Two storied Saratoga Springs music venues are coming together in an unprecedented partnership this summer, as Elizabeth Sobol, the new president of the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, joins forces with neighboring arts institutions. One result is a brand new Caffè Lena @ SPAC concert series co-presented by SPAC and the iconic folk venue. A free concert is scheduled from 12 to 5 p.m. August 27 in SPAC's newly revamped gazebo, with performances by New York City-based hip-hop band Soul Inscribed and 1920s-inspired hot gypsy jazz combo Sweet Megg & The Wayfarers. Guests are welcome to bring food, drink, blankets and lawn chairs. Food concessions will also be available. In the event of rain, the concert will shift to Caffè Lena and remain free to the public.
