For three decades, few fall traditions in Saratoga County have inspired quite like a weekend spent touring the region’s newest homes. This October, the Saratoga Showcase of Homes marks its 30th anniversary, opening the doors to 13 stunning properties from 12 award-winning local builders over two weekends: October 3–4 and October 10–11.
Presented by the Saratoga Builders Association, the Showcase is the area’s premier new home tour—and a chance to see the latest in design, craftsmanship, and energy-efficient construction up close. This year’s lineup spans everything from low-maintenance condominiums and twin homes to sprawling custom estates, with stops in Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, Stillwater, Wilton, Greenfield Center, and Round Lake. Expect soaring two-story great rooms, chef’s kitchens, spa-inspired primary suites, and smart, sustainable features like spray-foam insulation, ENERGY STAR components, and green-certified construction. Car lovers won’t want to miss BT Land Development’s home on Cannon Royal Drive, where a 1,500-square-foot show garage is on display through glass panels right off the great room.
The celebration extends beyond the homes themselves. On Saturday, October 3, from 10am–noon, local students will build wooden box planters alongside Whitbeck Construction at the Trojanski Builders home (#12) as part of the “Boards to Blooms” exhibition spotlighting careers in the trades. And all four days, a Victorian-inspired greenhouse built by CTE Construction Trades/BOCES students will be on view at the Homes by Malta Development home (#5).
Best of all, every ticket gives back. To date, the Showcase has contributed $1.8 million to local charities, with proceeds benefiting Rebuilding Together Saratoga County and Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties—two organizations that repair, rebuild, and create affordable housing for neighbors in need.
Tickets are $25 and available online, at any Showcase home during tour hours (10am–4pm), or at Adirondack Trust branches, Arrow Bank on South Broadway in Saratoga Springs, Curtis Lumber in Ballston Spa and Queensbury, Roohan Realty in Saratoga Springs, Rebuilding Together ReShop in Ballston Spa, and Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Fort Edward. Every ticket holder receives a free commemorative shoe/tote bag at their first stop, while supplies last. For home details, an interactive map, and directions, visit the Showcase’s mobile-friendly website.
