SLAH: We Checked Out Saratoga’s New Polish Restaurant

King Kielbasa brings authentic Polish food to the Spa City. PLUS: The Grotto, Viva Empanadas, and Tang Dumplings open for business.

As my friend Spencer and I waited for our food at King Kielbasa, the new Polish restaurant on Route 29 between Saratoga and Schuylerville, a customer came in to pick up a DoorDash order. Owner Gerard Bialek disappeared into the back and returned with a large takeout container. Inside—we could see, because it was open—was an enormous kielbasa that simply did not fit inside inside the square box. As Gerard began to tape the container shut around the Polish sausage, Spencer’s eyes grew wide. “Is that what I’m about to eat?!” he asked.
