If you’ve been in the Samantha Nass Floral Design Shoppe in Saratoga, you know it’s a gem of a store—offering everything from floral arrangements and potted plants to home décor and whimsical wooden ducks. Now, those based south of the Twin Bridges won’t have to make the trek all the way up to the Spa City to shop Samantha Nass’ wares: the longtime Saratoga florist is opening a pop-up shop in Stuyvesant Plaza in Albany.
“There has always been a florist at Stuyvesant Plaza, and we’re really excited to be a part of that tradition,” says Nass, who’s been providing Saratoga with florals since 2014 and opened her Lawrence Street shop in 2022. “We’re bringing our own European style and spin to the Plaza.”

The new store will carry much of what’s currently for sale in the Saratoga Shoppe, including fresh florals, seasonal arrangements, and specialty items, as well as a few new lines that will be exclusive to the Albany location. It will join fellow Saratoga businesses that have recently opened Capital City outposts in Stuyvesant, including menswear store Union Hall Supply Co., luxury handbag retailer Lola Saratoga, and beloved coffee shop Uncommon Grounds.
Nass is eyeing an August opening for the new spot. “Stuyvesant Plaza has a legacy of beauty and community,” she says. “We’re grateful to be a part of it.”
